Scope Rings

Throughout the years, over 13,000 firearms have been through our shop. During this time we have seen countless damaged scope tubes due to the improper tightening of the scope rings. Gruning Precision designed a scope ring that makes it impossible for the operator to tighten their scope improperly. Gruning scope rings have a system of precision ground rods that guide the top half of the ring onto the scope, for the perfect fit. Our patent pending scope ring design is completely innovative to the world of optic mounting systems.

Another problem that we have dealt with during the years is the loose, sloppy fit the scope ring makes with the picatinny rail. Most scope rings designed to fit on the picatinny rail come equipped with a crossbar that fits in the slot of the picatinny rail. This crossbar is normally a screw that has been modified to fit the slot. Although the modified screw fits the slot it is extremely loose which causes some scopes to move in the picatinny rail upon recoil. Gruning Precision designed a scope ring that completely eliminates the risk of having a scope move in the picatinny rail during recoil. This risk was eliminated by machining the crossbar onto the bottom of the ring. This crossbar is machined with close tolerances so that it fits the mil spec picatinny rail perfectly.
