Gruning Weapon Testing Center
Gruning developed the Weapon Testing Center to aid Law Enforcement and Forensic Laboratories in the testing of firearms such as handguns, rifles, shotguns, and sub machine guns without having to physically handle the firearm. A Firearm Technician will not handle the weapon during any given time during the testing procedure.
The Gruning Testing Center is constructed from one inch aluminum alloy plate to ensure a rigid platform. The sub-base rides on two precision ground steel bars that allow limited recoil of the firearm being tested. The sub-base also forms the platform to which all firearms being tested are safely and rigidly attached.
The buttstock and rear support is completely adjustable and rides in a vertical direction by the use of a handwheel. The clamp portion has multiple padded finger screws to accommodate different designs of buttstocks without causing damage. This clamp portion is also equipped with a slot to accommodate the machine gun pistol grips on the Mac 10 and Uzi style firearms.
The optional pneumatic firing mechanism can be positioned anywhere on the sub-base to facilitate a wide variety of firearms using the universal swivel elbow.
Our Testing Center can be securely mounted on a stationary bench or on a mechanical mobile lift table.
